Where are you located?
I have my own fully equipped studio close to Derby city centre offering both natural light and flash photography.
I can also shoot on location at your home, office or a place that is special to you.
Please note, travel expenses outside of the Derby area are not included.
I am not a model. I'm not very good in front of the camera.
Not to worry! It's not your job to be good in front of the camera - it's my job to guide you through your entire shoot. With easy to follow poses and flattering lighting, I promise to create the most beautiful portraits of you.
I would love to have my makeup done by a professional but I am allergic to certain makeup and beauty products, what should I do?
Prior to your photo shoot my makeup artist will consult with you about any allergies or worries you may have, and will accommodate your session accordingly.
Can I bring someone with me to my photo shoot?
Of course! Sometimes a friend or loved one is exactly what you need to help calm your nerves at the start of your photo session. I do ask that mobile phone pictures are not taken during the portrait session.
Please note: Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Why do I have to pay a deposit?
The deposit helps to secure your booking so that no one else can take your slot. It is also a show of good faith and I know you will turn up on the day. I might also have to book a professional makeup artist or hire a venue for your photo session.
How long will I have to wait to see my images?
Throughout your shoot I will show you the images as we go along. Once your finished portraits are ready, usually 1-2 weeks* after your session, we will schedule a viewing appointment for you to view and order the images you love.
*May take longer during busy periods i.e. Mothers/Fathers Day and festive holidays.
I've had my portrait taken by other photographers in the past who have charged a low sitting fee, but then at the portrait reveal appointment I was expected to pay £100's - £1,000's for my pictures!
Your chosen portrait package is purchased upfront so there is no hidden charges when collecting your finished portraits.
Should you wish to upgrade your package to one of my collections at anytime before or during your viewing, we will agree the price according to the collection you wish to upgrade to as shown in the 'Pricing & Collections' section.
How much do you edit my photos, will I still look like me?
As little or as much as you like - by tweaking the brightness and contrast, and removing any unwanted areas on the skin* such as spots, acne or blemishes, rosacea, dark circles, and sunburn. The image is given the wow factor!
*Any permanent features including moles/beauty spots and scaring will remain visible unless stated otherwise during your consultation.
